Camdidoh, a Ghanaian Afro-pop and R ‘n’ B artiste signed on to Grind Don’t Stop (GDS) and GB Recz has released “Maria” a single advancing his debut studio compilation competently captioned “Contingency Plan” (CP), which is due July 3.

In the song, Camidoh describes his girlfriend – Maria as being a blessing and source of joy for him. The song has sweet melodies and harmonies in all dimensions, making it a classic.

The track gives his fans the usual blend of alternative, Afropop and jazzy elements. This seems fitting as we wait excitedly for his highly anticipated extended play.

Written by Camidoh, the love-oriented song, produced by Nektunez, can be accessed by all consumers on the various major music streaming stores, including Aftown, Apple Music, iTunes, Audiomack etc.

Set in a modern African music scene and predominantly love-oriented classics, the writer, producer and composer sets the tone with the emotion loaded tunes on his 6 track EP, as he sticks to his theme of dynamism and versatility throughout ‘The Contingency Plan” EP.

The project paints a picture of a passion-driven talent whose powerful lyrics were set to a mid-tempo Afro-beats and Afro-Pop rhythms.

Authorities in New York state said a pair of off-duty police officers came to the rescue of a hawk they spotted stuck in the front bumper of a truck.

The Nassau County Police Department said Marine Bureau Officers Schwaner and Leek were on their way to work about 6:20 a.m. Wednesday when they spotted the hawk stuck in the front bumper of a parked Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The officers stopped to investigate and discovered the bird, a red-tailed hawk, was still alive, but unable to pull itself free from the bumper.

The officers carefully extracted the raptor from the vehicle and took it to the Nassau County Police Marine Bureau base in Bay Park, where they contacted the Volunteers for Wildlife rescue group in Locust Valley.

Volunteers transported the bird from the police station to the wildlife facility, where it is being treated for its injuries.

Police were forced to break up a lockdown party after more than 30 people set up a ‘huge tented village’ in a woodland area last night.

Officers said the revellers had lit a fire and reported finding bottles of alcohol and nitrous oxide cannisters littered at the scene.

Officers from Cheshire Police’s Rural Crime Team assisted their colleagues at Derbyshire Police in dealing with the incident near the Cheshire-Derbyshire border last night, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.

Despite lockdown restrictions slowly being eased, mass gatherings are still banned under government guidance.

Currently only six people from different households are permitted to meet in an outdoor space.

Patrols attending the incident last night discovered the crowd set up around a fire, with alcohol bottles and nitrous oxide cannisters littering the ground.

A Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team spokesman tweeted: “30+ adults set up just over the border in Derbyshire.

“Cheshire RCT supported Derbyshire Police patrols and ensured the group packed up and moved on.

“A huge tented village set in the trees with alcohol lay around, a fire, and with nitrous oxide cannisters littered.”

Staffordshire Police have also pledged to clamp down on any such events taking place this weekend.

Assistant Chief Constable Simon Tweats said: “With everything else the police are contending with at the moment, this really shouldn’t be one of them.

“It’s precisely what Staffordshire Police will be looking out for today and tomorrow and disrupting straight away – wherever it might be.”

Former Musicians Union of Ghana president Bice Osei Kuffour has won his bid to become the New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for the Asante Akyem South Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

Obour is contesting with three other people including the incumbent Member of Parliament Hon. Kwaku Asante Boateng, who has served two terms on the ticket of the NPP.

Provisional results according to Gyesi Boako as sighted on his Facebook page by attractivemustapha.com show that Obour has defeated the others.

A source in the Constituency says they believe the former MUSIGA boss will improve the Asante Akyem Constituency in terms of development and enhance the progress of its people better than the other aspirants.

He is reported to have already completed some projects including roads networks.

Obour’s father’s death was a major blow to his campaign especially because it was alleged that he died of Covid-19 and the subsequent brouhaha surrounding the burial but he seems to have bounced back strongly.
